Regulator Won’t Force Santander CEO to Quit, Confidencial Says - Bloomberg: "Bank of Spain Governor Miguel Angel Fernandez Ordonez won’t force Banco Santander SA Chief Executive Officer Alfredo Saenz to step down, El Confidencial reported.El Mundo newspaper said yesterday that the Supreme Court would bar Saenz from working at a bank after ruling against him in a case in which he was accused of making a false accusation when he was chairman of Banco Espanol de Credito SA in 1994.
Saenz has no intention of leaving his post and Ordonez won’t demand that he does, El Confidencial said, citing unidentified people in the financial sector."
