Court upholds death sentence against Bangladeshi drug smuggler: "Court of Appeals recently upheld the verdict of the lower court and sentenced a Bangladeshi man, identified only as A.H., to capital punishment for smuggling heroin into the country for trafficking, reports Al-Anba daily.
On Aug 25, 2010 the Criminal Court had sentenced the man to death.
Case papers indicate the accused was arrested when he arrived at the Kuwait International Airport. The customs officer suspected the behavior of the man and checked his baggage but failed to find the drugs.
He was then referred to the Farwaniya Hospital and an X-ray showed strange objects inside his stomach. He was given a laxative and he purged 32 capsules filled with heroin."
