Gwilym Rhys-Jones from the Costa del Sol Action Group said: “Once again we have this dreadful scenario in which honest and hard-working people are conned into parting with their life savings, thinking they are buying their dream home in the sun for holidays and eventual retirement.
“All the paperwork looks good on the face of it with even the name of a major Spanish bank on documents appearing to be backing the operation.
“There is enough money missing to interest the UK police who are investigating the case and one can only hope the perpetrators will be caught and made to disgorge whatever money they have that belongs to these innocent people.”Now, the group, who include residents in Mollina and Fuente de Piedra, have joined up with the Costa del Sol Action Group to seek damages.

The move comes after hundreds of Britons spent a fortune on dream holiday homes, many of which have still not been built three years on.
Police are investigating a real estate company after its four directors apparently fled owing clients thousands of euros.
Ideal Spain marketed off-plan property across Andalucia until the company’s mystery disappearance early this year.
Detectives in Essex are now probing whether the directors took deposits illegally.
Scores of clients have complained that the company, which had its headquarters in Southend on Sea, took thousands for homes that remain unfinished or even un-built.
